A Member-at-Large is a member that does not belong to a Chapter.  Contact the Extension Chair for further information.

As a Member-at-Large, who do I contact if I move?

When is MOA Week and what is it?

The last full week in April prior to the annual conference and the AGM.  MOA week is provincial recognition of all medical office assistants.

When is the Provincial Conference and where is it?

Conference is held the last weekend in April.  Check our website for Conference information.

Where do I get the Registration Brochure for Conference?

From the MOAA of BC website.  Communications or at Chapter meetings.

Who should I contact if I haven't received my Communications newsletter publication?

Your Chapter or the Extension Chair for Members-at-Large.

When are my membership dues to be paid?

Annual dues are to be paid by January 1.

Can students enrolled in a health related program join?  Same membership rate?

Yes, usually at a reduced rate for students.

I am now unemployed, how can I get my name out there?

As a member in good standing you can advertise on the website, go to Chapter meetings and network.

My boss wants to hire an MOA, can your membership help?

Use the MOAA of BC website to advertise job vacancies.  Members in good standing seeking employment are also listed there.

I would like to volunteer, how can I help?

Join a Chapter, take on a position -and never say no!  To take on a position at the Chapter level and Provincial level, you must be a member for at least one year.

I would like to consider opening a Chapter in my area, where do I start?

Approach the Provincial President of the Association listed on the website.

How do I access the Provincial MOAA Board Reports on this website?

This area needs a passcode to enter. Members contact your Chapter President for the passcode. Members-at-Large, contact the Extension Chair. This passcode will be changed annually and is written on your  MOAA of BC membership card.
